Pyramid Statistics

Welcome to the statistics section of this site. In these pages, you will find a wide range of data relating to the pyramid and the leagues therein. A brief overview of these is given below, and these are linked form the tool-bar on the left.

Leagues per Level, below. A simple chart showing the number of leagues at each level, revealing that the pyramid isn't really pyramid-shaped - it's more like an old-fashioned spinning top.
League Ratings. It's all very well saying that two divisions are at the same level, but which contains the stronger clubs? On the League Ratings, you'll find an attempt to assign numerical ratings to each division, based on their teams' performances in the FA Cup, Trophy and Vase.
Football League Admission History. Nowadays, movign between from the Conference and the Football League is a simple annual two up / two down arrangement. However, it wasn't always that simple. Here you will find an overview of arrangements through the decades, details of exactly went in and out of the Football League in any year, and a list of every club that has ever been in the Football League, their admission / relegation history and their current status.
